In your PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn the fundamentals of scuba diving through academic and confined water skill development.

Upon completion of four open water dives, you receive your scuba certification card enabling you to dive independently with a dive buddy.

Learning to Scuba Dive can be broken down into three stages.

  1. Academics
    It’s important for new divers to understand the fundamentals of spending time underwater for life-long safe diving practices. We suggest completing your academic training online!
    With Online Training- Students complete the online training at their own pace- anytime, anywhere. All of the academics, videos and tests are completed via this comprehensive online program. Get started right now!  Once you complete the academics, we schedule a “Meet and Greet” at our Dive Training Center where you receive an equipment briefing and Quick Review.  The Quick Review ensures you have no additional academic questions before moving on to the Confined Water.
  2. Confined Water Training (Pool)
    Now it’s time to get wet!  In the confined water sessions, students master the art of weightlessness and learn to move efficiently through the water. Students master the art of Gear Setup and put their knowledge into practice. And who doesn’t like playing around in the pool?
  3. Open Water Training Dives
    The adventure begins! Students explore the underwater world, making new fishy friends while demonstrating all they’ve learned.  Students emerge from the last dive as fully certified divers ready to explore our water planet!

Requirements for Open Water Training:

  1. You must be 10 years old and students under 18 must have signed parental consent.
  2. MAXIMUM AGE  There isn’t one! As long as your fit enough to dive, Please check fit to dive medical form.
  3. Good overall health is required. You may need a Dr’s approval If you answer yes to any of the questions under certain circumstances. Medical form available on this Page.

Learning to dive is a lot of fun! During your scuba diving certification PADI open water course you will learn all the dive skills you need to dive safely with your buddy.

This course is for beginners and includes.

 Some theory Knowledge Development
 5 confined water dives (usually completed in Lisburn leisure Plex)
4 Open water dives Completed in the Ocean

 By the end of your PADI open water Diver course you will be able to dive to 18 metres with a dive buddy. You will receive the scuba certification PADI open water certification which is valid worldwide giving you a ticket to an awesome underwater adventure! Our experienced dedicated Dive Team of Padi Pros registered through The padi professional association of diving instructors will teach your PADI diving course in small groups. Ensuring that you progress at your Padi course, receiving a lot of attention from your instructor so that you can relax throughout your training. Allowing you time to build your confidence, increase your dive skills and becoming a competent PADI open water diver.

Maximum depth: 18 metres (10-11 year olds is 12 metres) Minimum age: 10 years old Medical: Good general health, if you have any medical problems please contact us beforehand.

  • There is NO AGE LIMIT to complete a Padi diving Course But you need to be in reasonable physical health. if you can answer NO to all the questions on the diver medical form found at the bottom of this page then your good to go or if there is a YES answer have your doctor sign fit to dive. some GPs wont sign if you have this problem give us a call and we will give you a few numbers of diving specialists doctors who could help and advise.
